Inclusive education

Submission of a request for reasonable accommodation to ensure the inclusion of students with disabilities.

In order to facilitate the inclusion of people with disabilities in adult education, it is now possible to submit a request for reasonable accommodation.

This can be either “material” (equipment or devices to make it easier to follow the course) or pedagogical (adaptation of teaching methods and oral or written assessments).

Public concerned

People with lasting physical, mental, intellectual or sensory disabilities.

Documents to be produced

  • Any proof or certificate issued by a competent public authority or any court decision recognizing a disability, invalidity or occupational illness resulting in permanent incapacity.
  • Or a report from a specialist in the relevant medical or paramedical field, dated less than five years before the date of application, which provides an understanding of the reasonable accommodation(s) requested.

A request for reasonable accommodation duly completed by the student: document downloadable below.

Deadlines and procedure

The request for reasonable accommodation(s) must be completed, dated and signed by the student and sent by email (contact details below), to the reference person at least 10 working days* before the opening date of the teaching unit for which it is requested.

The referee will contact the student again and, during an appointment, explain the rest of the procedure and give him/her a copy of the application, dated and signed, for receipt.

(*Except in the case of exceptional or unforeseen circumstances invoked by the student, such as registration, diagnosis or evolution of the disability beyond the above-mentioned deadline).
